First tinkerings - advice on exhaust plse
#1
Hi,
I have a two month old WRX, hasn't taken me long to start tinkering a little. Had a STI back box weekend, much better note and maybe a little more hp but i want to change the mid section, maybe the downpipe too.
Can anyone recommend what to go for - it's a company car so i would like to make sure it will pass the MOT in 3yrs time without the boss asking questions.
Presumably the down pipe is where the hp is going to come from?
Thanks in advance!

Its all interconnected mate. Might as well get rid of all the cats in the car. You can easily get a magnex mid section and downpipe for quite cheap. It should take you less than an hour to replace em (unless if you're me and found that some of the bolts were welded).
Anyway, to pass an MOT, you need to put the cats back on. There's no way around it.

Thnx for that,
Kinda miffed tho, will have to think of something different to mess with - & perhaps less blarringly obvious to employers, chip maybe but £500/£600 a bit much at the moment.
If only Santa could make a remap £300 and not £500+. Bugger.

You can get a number of emmission compliant sports cat exhausts - Power Engineering, APS, Graham Goode for example. However, not the cheapest things on earth, these sports cats.
