Hi all, can anyone help?
My98 uk (99 spec)Running on Super Unleaded, totally standard car when purchased a couple of months ago.I had s/h Prodrive P1 back box fitted, then the engine started hunting at idle, almost stall the engine on gear changes. I had the car serviced later that day, mechanic said plugs were probably the cause, fitted new plugs and everything was fine.
Two weeks later I fit a Tek2 Ecu and the hunting has started again, at tickover the engine revs drop to almost zero and then rev upto 1000+ and back down again then up and so on.

Anyone had this problem before?

Regards

Merv

It might be worth doing a search on "idling",i seem to remember reading that a faulty maf sensor can be one of the causes of this.

This sounds a lot like a MAF problem. Be sure and get it checked because without the MAF working properly the engine may underfuel and thus go bang!
