As per the title guys.... I'm looking to spend a few hundred quid to improve the performance on my MY02 WRX wagon. Seems a bit tardy in the lower rev range, up to about 3000-ish RPM.
What suggestions are out there for a cost effective prerformance tweak(s)? Thought about a PPP, but wondered what I could get for similar/superior results and better value.
Cheers, HB.
PS. Drivetrain is standard at the moment.

I can recommend the full de-cat, Up-Pipe, Down-Pipe, both Centre pipes and back box going for a remap next.
PPP is fine if your worried about warranty, but not worth £1600 IMHO.
£1600 will easily get you a full de-cat, ITG filter and a custom remap and give you a very nice car with approx double the gains the PPP would give.
Even just an ecu remap would give improvements and not be detectable re warranty!
all IMHO

I have an MY01 and it's fully de-catted (Inc Up-pipe) and also has an ITG panel filter and the car pulls like a train.I bought most of the Scoobysport exhaust bits second hand off here (They come with a 25 year warranty anyway!) and in total it's cost me less than £450 all in.
The car went on the rollers at Well Lane on Sunday 27th October and made 262bhp,and that's runnin standard unleaded (Which is all my fuelcard will accept )
You know it makes sense.....
Nick
P.S: Worth lookin at the Ecutek too as the dealer can't tell the ECU has been reprogrammed on the select monitor

262hp Nick.... pfftt!
Get yourself a Dawes device m8 - for 50 quid there is no finer 'smile per mile' mod. Oh and it can be taken off v easily so no warranty worries.
If you have the cash then go for de-cat and an Ecutek ECU remap.

Try Power Engineering. I've been looking at a remap recently but for the best out of it you're probably best of going for decat first. If you want to remap you'll probably have to replace the uppipe if you want to run decent boost (stops the cat melting and disappearing into the turbo).
