Question

I am thinking of getting a magnex backbox + decat centre section for my MY99 as this seems to be the cheapest way to get rid of the peashooter and centre cat and get a bit more noise and power. What is the general opinion of magnex stuff? Also I've told my insurance company I'll get about 10BHP increase, is this about right?

Magnex may be cheaper than most, but are also of much better quality. Very good value for money, and worth going for.

Yep, got the magnex backbox and magnex straight through decat centre. Not too loud, and much better than standard. I am going to get the decat downpipe, and didn't want a Scoobysport or Blitz as I think it would be a bit too loud for my taste.

I have a magnex de cat center and 6x4 back box and im very pleased . It may not be no of the loudest zorts on the market but is a very deep boxer note and a nice increse in noise level. Along with very good build quility and price your on to a winner

I just need a down pipe now.

I have mid + 6x4 backbox (MY01).

Allows the distinctive boxer sound to come through. Lovely deep burble on idle, nice rasp through the gears. Loud enough to turn heads when trundling around built up areas, without being thunderous.

Edited to add, I noticed definite power increase too, more than I expected. Pulls more strongly to the redline.

Wink

Magnex is the best you quality you can get at a reasonable price.
I can notice the difference in quality from my scorpion back box to the magnex centre section, magnex finished off much better.
had one on my old car too (not scoob) was pleased with it.
