Anyone know what the difference in gear ratios is between the V5 type r and a Version 5 type r v-ltd

1 to 4 are the same AFAIK but some of the V-lims have the standard STI 5th gear ratio ie. 22mph/1000 rather than the 19.5mph/1000rpm

4th gear 13.75MPH/1000rpm Top Speed 112MPH (6100rpm at 84MPH)
5th gear 22MPH/1000rpm Top Speed 180MPH (5010rpm at 112MPH)

non V-Ltd ratios

john, it certainly isnt all v lims.


I know yours does, but most have the standard type r top end.

try asking mike tuckwood who also had an sti 5 type r v lim.

Mike Tuckwood had the same gear ratios as me, we have already discussed it.

And i agree, not all V-Ltds have the higher fifth.

you wont make 180MPH, there isnt enough power to overcome the drag, but that is what the gearing would allow if you did have enough power.
