Thinking about either a Scoobysport or Power Engineering BB for MY99 standard turbo. Any suggestions or feedback that will help a decision would be appreciated.
PS Don't want it too loud.

I have had just a ScoobySport backbox on for the last week and didn't find it loud at all, but nice sound. Great improvement over the original.
Had the rest of the ScoobySport downpipe and decat centre section fitted today and now it is much louder but sounds superb!

I know it's a personal thing, but I didn't think the power engineering system (on a bugeye) sounded as nice as several other systems I've heard - I prefer the note of a scoobysport. Having said that, I can't deny that the PE system worked very well on their bugeye WRX with power pack (283bhp from exhaust, up-pipe, panel filter and ECUTEK).
The prodrive boxes are generally quieter than most.
Am going for a full APS system myself as I like the sports cat, and subdued but very pleasant noise. Just got to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive.

Hi STIMAN
The Afterburner is a Scoobyworld product (developed in conjunction with Hayward & Scott) - if you're interested in the backbox let me know and I'll forward you some details.

Prodrive or P1 IMHO, especially if you dont want it too loud.
I just put one on my wagon and its just right. But it can also be an animal when you boot it
Tried a Magnex courtesy of Wendy, and a Scoobymania... but the Prodrive was the best compromise.

I have recently got a WR Sport BB which, as far as I can tell, is the same as the Prodrive P1 but with an oval tailpipe. It is a nice compromise but it seems to get a little more boomy as it gets hotter, therefore if you test any one elses make sure they go for a good blast or drive for at least 30 minutes as it should be fully hot by that time. Mine is just verging on uncomfortable when hot. It isn't the volume, it's the low frequency that does it. Other than that it is luuvvvrrrlllyyy

I had a scoobysport bb and magnex center section i removed the bb and fitted a magnex 6x4 bb, the look and build are so much better and the sound is tops a real nice deep burble on tick over nice boxer note around town and and when you give it some wot the sound is tops with out going over the top. And the best thing is it is not boomy on the motorway like the scoobysport one. ive have tried many exhaust systems on every car i have owned and have come to the finding that magnex do a top job every time.
Try a magnex center section with 6x4 bb i think you will be very happy i know i am. Next on the list is a downpipe.

Silver:scooby the boominess is something that we have eliminated from the new version Scoobysport exhausts.
We have used a wall thickness that is twice as thick as the previous version and is then ribbed. This dramatically reduces the amount of sound that can resonate through the silencer walls, resulting in a big reduction of noise in the car, especially at 4,000 rpm where drone is most common. The noise out of the back is reduced slightly, but still has the distinctive Scoobysport burble.

Sorry pete not having a pop at you or your exhaust, just a bit to boomy for me on the motor way. Whats good for one person is not good for another personal choice, if your made your b/b with 6x4 tail pipe i would have had one of yours. Your zorts do sound very nice. I just felt like a change of tail pipe i did not change it it cuz it was to loud.
how much is yor new b/b, and what tail pipes will they come with
