My 99 standard turbo hesitates a bit if you boot it at 3500rpm. Not a misfire just hesitation. When I whinged to my local dealer i got the usual "they all do that". "turbo swirl" they said.

Has anyone got the same symptoms? Any answers?

I never believe anything dealers say...........

 

Is this in 2nd gear? Could be the noise emissions test thing...

 

Any gear, more noticeable in 3rd/4th just annoying becos there must be a good reason and hence a fix.

Noise emissions test:

Hold 2nd gear / 50kmh for a couple of seconds. Give WOT. You'll only get 0.5bar boost till 6000rpm or so. This is supposed to get by the drive by noise test which lots of countries use.

Yes , but only in second. Big thread on this a few days ago if you look back.

Yours doesn't sound like it though as in other gears
