Is MY99 exhaust same as MY96?

I've got a spare back box and cat from when I had the PPP fitted to my MY99. I was going to offer it to a friend with an MY96.

Does anybody know if it is the same please?

yes, as far as i know all the classic shape impreza's have the same exhaust... apart from jap imports that dont have a second cat like the uk cars...
