New owner here and very happy indeed...

Have been researching induction kits / replacement filters erc on this site, and have read possibly conflicting experiences.

Can anyone if there is a MAF happy induction kit, and second best replacement filter. I understand MY99 have a more sensitive MAF, and therefore more likely to fail if original filter replaced with an after market brand

K&N seems to be the happiest to my knowledge. I had a good search around before taking the plunge and found that this one hasn't (yet) been attributed to any MAF failures.

Note that MAF failures on the STANDARD filter setup have been known on the MY99/MY00... You could think Subaru got something wrong...
