Question

Hi,

last question concerning the downpipe.. honest

Downpipe has been fitted all ok, but is it vital/critical to fit the heatshield back onto the turbo? (with a bit of minor cutting required) These are two parts to the shield, inner bracket, presumably not required anyone more, and then the outer casing, with the "Do not too touch - HOT hand signal" This part only needed?

Looks/runs all ok, but will prolonged use cause a heat problem in this area, as the intercooler is pretty close to this region..

cheers peeps

Thought if you lag the DP you don't really need the heat shield. Obviously you'll know it's hot and won't touch it.

by 'inner bracket' do you mean the bracket that is held on by the top two bolts? If so, you need this to support the top of the heatshield.
