aaah, that will be detectable, because the select monitor wont play, you might choose not to use the maf sensor (big givaway) etc etc.

However.

The the link is plug in jobbie so come service time, there is nothing to stop you pluggin the original ECU back in for the day.

should be fine, you might have to watch out for overboost if you have also fitted a big turbo.

Idle is said to be better on standard ECU, although Link advocates may argue, so I would put the ecu back for MOT time too.

You would be able to get round the turbo problem by just putting a pipe from the turbo outlet to the actuator, assuming you have a 1 bar actuator or less you would be fine.

If you get an adjustable fuel regulator, I wonder if you could adjust the fuel pressure down to 2 bar, which would give you 440 ish flow from 550 injectors.

bit of a fudge though, probably easier to spend the same time on getting the link idling nicely, which I am sure bob can do.

Steven, next time I see you speak to me about servicing... I can probably get your car done as is... without changing anything.
