I can't seem to find any info on splicing the wire to the MAP sensor for the MRT Boost Cut Defender. I do not know what wire to cut. I sent email to MRT and they havn't answered it yet after a week. I checked everywhere I can think of, MRT forums, Scooby forums and here.

I need to know:

1 Where the ECU is and how to get to it?
2 What color the wire is?
3 ECU wiring diagram for a MY02 USA WRX

I did order the The Training WRX 2nd Edition Today. I hope that this will show me everything that I will need to know now and in the future.


I have already installed a Greedy Profec A, Blitz turbo timer, AEM intake, Greedy oil catch can and a turbo gauge. And they all work great. Just letting you know that I am not an idiot, but I just need more directions before I go cutting wires to the ECU.

Your (as in US) own resource for wiring diags, helped me here in Aus for my MY01(=your MY02 if you didn't already know).

Wire colour: you really should check the wiring diag out, as it shows you which connector it is on, but it is Yellow/Black.

Location: Passenger footwell, below a steel plate, easy to lift the carpet forward by about 12inches to get to the bolts holding the plate.

Power wire can also be obtained from this location, thick wires, yellow/blue.

Thank you so much, this is exactly what I needed. Will start install ASAP on the MRT Boost cut defender.
