Many thanks for the Link to Chris's Website. I dowloaded the PDF's and completed the task of changing the belt in 5 hours. Took out the Rad and Fans and also changed the Antifreeze at the same time.
I have to say that the jobs not beyond anybody with a mild interest and a half decent Socket Set. I Have a question though ?
Since the change of Coolant I ragged the car up the A19 to test the temperature and security of the hoses.
All is well and the guage is reading Normal but the bottom Hose on the Rad is Cold ?? Is this Normal or could the Thermostat be closed... Any Ideas no other problems and the car has run faultlesly.....

What did you do to stop the cams moving when the old belt was removed ?
And how easy was it to undo the crank pully bolt?
Did you need a speacial tool to hold it ?
Stephen
Planning to do it in the next 6mths

Bit lame I know but I used a U bolt (The sort that secures scafolding type pipes) of the correct diameter as the holes on the Pulley together with my Neigbour who held a long cold chisel through the loop. It looked scary but the tension was was not great on the bolt and with the Rad removed access was easy.
If you have access to the web at High speed I would advise you download the PDF from the Web link a couple of threads above. It gives a no nonsense indication of how to do the job.
I Cable tied the Right hand pulleys together as they are both under tension.
The left hand side was no bother at all. Just count the teeth on the belt to confirm you have done the job correctly. One thing though the PDF says you MUST NOT push the tensioner with a Vice in the horizontal Position. I did it with a bar The wife and 16and a half stone Good Luck and its well worth the extra effort to remove the Radiator.......
