wrxbob, I was thinking of doing this as well but really couldnt afford it. But hey sod it you only live once - thats what credit cards are for

I'd be well up for it if we can secure a decent discount. Would be wanting the BBox + fitting. Think they normally sell for £371 inc vat dont they?

Perhaps worth asking a price for a 5 person groupbuy and one for a 10 person groupbuy so that we don't get caught short. Assuming we can even get 5 that is.

Simon.

Fitting may be a piece of **** but I still couldnt do it. That said a guy at work is an ex Subaru Dealer mechanic and still does garage work in his spare time so I'll see what he can do for me as it will cost me a load in fuel to get to TSL.

im a mechanic mate and believe me these are easy as they come two 13mm nuts and bolts and three rubber mounts a mechanic would not charge you more than 15-20 pounds to fit and he could do it before the kettle has boiled.

Do I need anything special (clips etc) to fit this backbox or does it just fit onto the existing fittings? Have an MY00 with totally standard exhaust if that makes any difference.

Simon.

Edited to say you answered my question as I was posting it. Ta.

simon as far as i am aware no you dont need any special clips tools etc but i will check if you get a new metal gasket with the pipe and also these come with r clips to hold them on nice and tight.

Simon, take it to ATS/Quakfit etc, takes 10 mins max, you could d.i.y easily if you have axle stands or access to a pit/ramp.

So we have so far:

1.wrxbob
2.P1Fanatic
3.Dave-TS
4.gaz turbo
5.Elgordano (if he can sell old box)
6.PCB
7.Achad

Is looking a bit more promising. I think 10 people is a good target. Hopefully Trouser can do us a good deal. Does everyone just need a price inc delivery or would any of you want it fitted at TSL?

CaptainP - no one seems to have one as yet. Its wrxbob's groupbuy idea so I dont want to step on his toes at all. If he hasnt replied by tomorrow afternoon (when I get up off nights) I will phone trouser and see what he can do for us in terms of discount. Im sure if we ask him he will record a soundbite for us as I know a lot of people want to hear what it sounds like and it may well attract a few more people into the the groupbuy.

adair69 - got your email. I think a few people may want the centre decat as well.
