Half a Racing Suction Kit for a Fifth of the Price

OK - if you do not ues a MAF sensor here is an alternative to the Racing Suction kit.
It is a Pipercross induction kit that replaces both the inlet and the MAF - OK not quite a groovy as a the Racing Suction kit - but much, much cheaper - I think it is off a Range Rover - AND much better filtration. On the rollers this has performed significantly better than the similar ITG foam cone.

Trout do you have a cold feed in the wing pointing towards this?
Did you have to bend the brake pipes on the abs unit tro get the piping in, if so how did you do it?(sensible answer please)
Its the bell housing on that filter thats longer than normal i think. looks good

No cold air feed - I did have one - but the FMIC piping is in the way - am looking at new options - possible new scoop on bonnet
Nothing has had to be moved to do this - brake pipes do not interfere as the long bell housing pipe effectively replaces the MAF.
I think the filter cost around £60 - not bad - and on a turbo will be rated up to 500bhp - and I am not there - yet!

Errrrrr - no - nothing deliberate - just that the source did not provide box, partno or anything - and no - it's not robbed
Will investigate and let you know.

DR,
I don't need a MAF as I use a LINK - many of the aftermarket ECUs can be run on MAP sensor instead of MAF.
There are pluses and minuses - however on the Phase II engine it is definately a plus as the MAF is the most fragile component on the car!

Thanks for offering to investigate
From the picture you have posted the filter seems to be from the Pipercross PX700 Range
http://www.pipercross.com/PX700.htm
Would be ideal if your source knows the Pipercross Stock Code for a MY98 UK

Madou,
this filter is NOT a Scooby part - I think it is for a Range Rover - rated to 340bhp normally aspirated so around 500bhp turbo....mmmmmmm - turbo (Homer Simpson mode!)
Will see if I can find out.
