Old thread, but has anyone heard or experienced anything further on this?

Last time I asked, several responded. It didn't seem related to any specific model, happened on STI's, 220hp's, JDM's, "Official" car's... etc.

FWIW, I get mine consistently between 3500-4000rpm once warmed up. Nothing above or below this range. Had it since I got the car at 6000km. Now almost a year and 22000kms later, the noise is still there, and unchanged. I've learnt to more or less ignore it now, just my curiosity going again.

Cheers.
