Question

'ello all,

What's the difference between an atmospheric bov and a recirc bov? Are there other types? How can you tell the difference from just looking at one and/or listening to one?

TIA.

Dump to atmosphere makes the loud "Whoosh"/ "Phssshh" noise when changing gear as it dumps excess to the air. A recirc doesn't and is quieter in it's operation because of this.

The only real "benefit" is faster in-gear spool up by fitting an uprated dump valve (and the noise if you go atmo )
