I've found that JR Airfilters work really well on the STI 7, I swapped an ITG for one and was surprised at how much you can feel the difference, for a panel filter. It is also a gauze filter (like K & N) so there are no oily deposits to come off, which can cause a problem.
All in all my first choice is JR then ITG. I hope this helps.

Is what cos I own JW Racing?
You asked for advice, I have an STi UK and have had the opportunity to try them out, so thought I'd pass it on.
