I got bored last w/e and made up an earthing mod kit and installed it. To be honest I didn't think it would make any difference but the engine seems to be slightly smoother (this could well be a placebo affect) and the stereo sounds slightly better.

My side affect was strange though, the cold start hesitancy is about 50% better. I'll monitor it over the next few fill ups to see what happens.

Anyone else experienced this?

Moles Dad - it should be noted that Legacys have horrible earths, and some people really do not seem to get much of anything from the earthing system (while others get more than I did).

I got: better starting, less shocks, smoother throttle on/off response and better audio.

I did not get 50 extra bhp - damn it

Hope you get some improvements for your efforts though.

Best way to prove for yourself that it makes a difference is to go down to an autoelectrician, get hold of a DC Volt meter and measure the difference between the battery negative and the engine with no mod then with the mod when you start the car. Without the mod there is a up 5 times larger voltage surge than with the mod, explaining better cold starts ;-)

All noted thankyou

The cold start thing may become apparent over the next few months!

Cheers all.

Floyd,

I did, but it was about a week after you sent it, as i don't use my work email much.

Assumed it would be gone by then?

Sounded a bargin for me though, so if it is still there, let me know (home email).

Appologies for not replying all the same,

Nick.
