hi, has anyone fitted a dump valve to a STI7, whats the pro"s & con"s, whats recommended, forge, bailey,etc?.
i know warranty will be affected unless fitted by dealer, so i need to know the "best" available, so that i fit the right one first time!??

Warranty will be affected even if fitted by dealer (because it's a non-approved engine modification).

Listen to a few on other cars and buy the one you like the sound of - what other reason for fitting one ?

2 guys round my way fitted forge dump valves tot there sti7s, infact we fitted them at the Castle Combe rally day. It took about 2 mins, literally - well easy.

As for pros cons, I m not going to discuss because there have been big dicussions/arguements in the technical section on this.
But it does go pshhhhhhhhh

as for the flamer, i was told you needed to be de-catted????, but keep me posted!!!!!

I was led to believe the recirculating dump valve that is a standard feature on the STi7 is more efficient \ effective

Is this right and if so why would you want to add inefficencies?
