Is there another (better) way of finding out when the clutch needs replacing apart from the height on the clutch peddle?
BTW it’s not a Scooby it’s a Megane
Thanks
Darren

If the revs go up while you accelerate without the car accelerating, the clutch is going.
You could try that thing they recommend as a used car buyer guide: with car standing, engine running: pull handbrake hard, select 4th gear, hold 2000rpms and clutch in. If it doesnt stall but stand still, you need a new clutch.
