Hi,am just in the middle of fitting Magnex twin dump to my99,the only thing I notice is that there are two threaded holes. One highest up to the turbo,of which the sensor from my orig cat downpipe fits, and another at the bottom. This ones puzzling me as there doesnt seem to be anything on my orig to go here.
Ive managed to find a bolt to thread into this to blank off.Is this for different models that have diff sensors and is it correct to fit it blanked, otherwise its goin to blow and lose pressure.
Oh one other thing, has anybody run there cars wuth the turbo heatshield off.Seeing a two of the nuts decided they wanted to shear off,I wondered if it was necessary to re-fit.I know the p,s hoses are close although one has a shield around it,if the heat would be too much with the shield off or not.
Thanks,back to fitting,hopefully!

What My is your car?? older cars have an oxygen sensor lower down the downpipe but no lambda sensor at the top, IMHO the magnex DP caters for both cars, if you have an older car then you block off the top lambda hole and vise versa for newer MY's.
For example, i had to block off the lambda hole at the top of the decat DP as my car is MY93 and the lambda is in the up pipe..
However my car has an oxygen sensor near the bottom of the DP.
Hope this made sense??

Cheers, mine is my99,and has the sensor at the top and wondered if it was for diff year cars as the top hole was blanked of when I got it.Have just fitted back on and suppose i had beeter put the heat shield on to be sure nothing gets too hot.Only downer is cant drive it or hear it yet cos one of the nuts at the center box sheared off,so will have to get another tomorrow and then see.Thanx for the reply

Talking

Bit of luck, sorted through some old nuts and bolts and found one that will do the trick with a washer,so its now on and off the ramps in a bit and out to see if it lives up to all the fuss, lets hope so.
