...as 'pinking' also known as pre-det?

I keep reading about it but am unsure as to whether my car suffers from it.

From what I understand, it occurs at high rpm/boost and is only detectable via a knocklink or a select monitor (inc deltadash).

I have always been told when at my rolling road sessions that all was 'fine', is it actually monitored on a rr day?

I run 99.9% of the time with Optimax, should I be concerned enough to buy a knocklink?

I have, until now, always put it to the back of my 'worries list', fuelling is, as far as my AFR shows, spot on whilst on boost.

Any advice/info greatly received.

 

Seeming you have a bit of time on your hands at the moment , have a look at this which covers most things to do with whatever you might want to know. About anything, I think
It gets a bit technical later on...

Anyone got a proven 'home build' circuit/design they want to share?

I would get Mole to make it for me, he made my AFR (JBanks).
