G'day all,
Having owned my scoob for the past three weeks i have noticed that when the turbo is spinning the engine feels rough. Boost pressure is still the same through the gears but the car still feels rough and a bit slower compared to when i first started driving it.
It is MY2000 STI 6 Type R V-LTD with a Fujitsubo exhaust system. The car has been running on Optimax with NF Octane booster for 2 tanks but saying that, the import agent did put a bit of NUL at the beginning to get it through the SVA test. Before that it was driven in Japan with 100RON and serviced every 4000KM. The car will be due for a service in about 200miles so im wondering if that is the cause?
Any suggestion anyone????

Question

Only having a guess here but what about the MAF sensor? or the air filter is clogged?

Don't use an octane booster with Optimax. The additives in Optimax react with the booster leaving a residue. After a while it could impare the performance of the valves. Use it for fast runs and track days only if you must but optimax on its own will clean your valves for every day use.

check for air leaks.

If you have to actually take off the intercooler, tighten the clamps and seals and put it back on.

Also look for a small actuator size pipe that may have split of come off somewhere.
