But the cheapest isnt always the best quality, or best value for money. I Haven seen the scorpion one, but anything I have seen from Scorpion, would make me never buy anything from them. Their stuff is the same price as most other places, but I think the quality is just a ( big )bit below that of some other manufacturers. Spend a few ££ extra, and buy quality.

don't require quality really, just need the cat removing, a tube is a tube, a weld is a weld etc. (they can't be that bad, my brothers had a few scorpions systems and there's never been any questions on the build quality)

123 quid sounds about right, is it single or twin dump?

The Scorpion is not an open wastegate type (blanked off) they say this can cause a slight restriction in airflow. Though the quality is quite good. I was going for the scorpion myself but wanted an open wastegate, Bought a Jap Inovations from scoobyworld, think it was about £160.00 plus postage Etc. If you can afford it i would go for the open wastegate every time.

So the only difference is it's stainless and has no cat.
The connection to the turbo is still to the poor design adopted by Subaru then !!! (i.e the hole is far too small).

Try Mike at Scoobymania - IanW has just had a HKS DP supplied / fitted from Mike. No idea which one, though he did mention it being 3"

found somewhere that will do it for 150 (should be 160ish ) he's going to look at the turbo end of it and phone us tomorrow

its definetly 3" though and having a 3" system makes sense to use HKS rather than magnex etc. which are 2.5"

also just found out that magnex are changing the twin dump design due to the second pipe running too close the the steering rack pivot obviously not thought it through enough

Scorpion looks good.
Anyone got piccies of the other 'Neck' designs so that we can see the real differences.

What advantages are there between 'Open','Closed' and 'Tein-dump'.

I have my own thoughts but would like to read those of others.

Also who lists this downpipe. I can't find it on the net anywhere. Only Rear boxes and systems.

The Scorpion one masks the wastegate. You may as well leave the OEM one on

But, flat4, if you truly believe a weld is a weld, a tube is a tube, I recommend you go for the Scorpion one......
