Default Clutch master cylinder?? Creaking noise?

Hi guys,

On my 06 hawk wrx, when stood with engine running and pressing clutch I get a creaking sound, Seems more audible with window down.

I'm guessing this could be the clutch master cylinder?

Thanks in advance, any help greatly appreciated!

Lee

I doubt its the Master or slave cylinder

Couple of culprits are

Release bearing/pressure plate fins creaking
Fork Arm Pin Dry
Dry rods under the clutch pedal

My 95 WRX does it, ive lubed the Fork pin, still does it, i lubed the rods under the pedal, still did it, only when i removed the TMIC, put my head to the bellhousing and its in there, only thing it can be is release bearing/Pressure plate fins

it is annoying lol !!

On mine it was the slave cylinder. Every time I press the clutch pedal I get this creaking noise, I thought I was actually the pedal mechanism itself until I realise that the noise came from under the bonnet. I go someone to press the pedal while I investigated and sure enough the creaking noise was the slave cylinder. I've put grease on on the push pin a few times and the noise goes away for a while. I even bought a new slave cylinder at one point too but the noise just keeps coming back eventually.

It is this little bigger that's making all the racket! (Black rubber with the O on)

Located under the inter cooler, moves and creaks when clutch is pressed.

I'm pretty new to getting under the bonnet so any advice on what it is would be great!

Thanks again! Lee

That is the slave cylinder but, you sure it's that creaking ? As what've was saying is attached to the black fork inside the gearbox, hopefully if it is the slave cylinder , easy fix

I think I've had that noise aswell Rig but that was more of a clattering noise than a squeak. They hadn't greased my clutch release bearing when it was put in so I did the old Wd40 trick with a long straw. Pop the straw (or two straws joined together) under the rubber boot where the clutch fork is and give it a good old squirt and it greases the bearing inside
