My99 uk,

Had it about 5 weeks now and wanted to have an oil top up bottle available just in case.

As i did not know what oil was in the car(was previously mobil 1 as the service book has all the sticky label things in it) i went to my dealer and asked for a litre.

They gave me Fully sythn magnatec!!

is this right?

Graham,

How did you guess?

Have they looked after you at Brammals? i was going to get the car serviced at Listers.

Mine also a S plate wagon S954... with a Rottweiler in the back ( no girlfriend jokes please) in Silver, car that is not the dog.

Cheers for the reply.

Just as a matter of information, Magnatec 10/40 is semi- synthetic. The cheaper 15/40 version is straight mineral. It seems most Subaru dealers use the 10/40

PS For those of you who in the past have had trouble getting Castrol RS 10/60 and go anywhere near Romford there is a spares shop in North St with it in stock!
