My 6 speed box has developed a chattering/grumble which is more prominent in 3rd through to 6th gear under load. The noise is also still there when coasting in neutral but no where near as loud.

I can remove the box from the car but dont know wether to replace it for another box, or have this repaired. This box has only lasted 200 miles and 100 of those were at standard power. Its been launched 3 times, but not brutally and its only had about 10 miles of spirited driving at around 400bhp/torque.

Unfortunately I dont have big money to throw at getting this sorted, and its a repair I wouldnt be confident of doing myself. Its a UK box, non dccd and I dont have another £1000 to throw at the car. Bummer is I sold my 5 speed dccd to fund this 6 speed.

I live near nottingham so if theres anyone midlands/east anglia based that someone can recommend, that isnt going to want a kidney to fix it I'd appreciate the help.

It DOES select all gears fine, and still drives ok, but the noise is worrying so I've nursed it home and wont be driving it again til its sorted.
