Default clutch time

right guys i need to rid my car of this paddle clutch as i can no longer live with it as a daily driver

car is a 2.5 blob sti with a gt30 440/440,fast road use only

looking at either comp stage 2 clutch or extreme clutch, anybody had experience of these?

my car is fitted with a rcm lightweight flywheel, would this need replacing or can i get it skimmed?

cheers guys

I've been running the CC Stage 2 and can give it the thumbs up for my needs. Progressive and easy to use too. I've put around 10K on mine and use it daily. Still feels good. Running 400/420+ on a 2.1.

I cannot honestly remember I'm afraid. Enginetuner did a job lot which included a 6 speed conversion and popped in a suitable flywheel. But when I changed the clutch (I was running a god awful Helix jobby) I simply had the fly inspected, it was clean, so I did nothing and I've had no issues at all.

Depends on how you drive it really as if it's just a road car then stick a standard clutch back in , iv fitted many a standard clutch in a 400+ Scoob without any problems or slip ,, it will wear out slightly faster but will be loads cheaper to replace ,,,you can get a recon clutch plate for about £80 on Bgay , as long as the fly is ok just stick it in and you will be fine , iv done this a few times with my 400+ motors and it's been fine every time ,, I'll only upgrade after 450 now otherwise i stick with standard and just replace more often

if your running a paddle currently then 99/9% the flywheel will have surface damage where the 'puks' have grabbed and require at least "facing".............

personally find the Extreme or the ACT (albeit slightly higher cost) far superior performance & refinement than the CC's.........

Thx alyn, what lightweight flywheels do you keep on the shelf? Would a re skimmed standard 6 speed fly be worth putting in if my fly is knackered?

Price on comp and extreme clutch please

yes we re-face flywheels on a regular basis amongst some of the other more involved stuff we get asked to sort...........

Shreksta we do a couple of good quality options as well as refaced std so best to contact the office direct for pricing by email or simply call - gets manic busy so we often miss messages on here
