This was the weaker TY752 box, im searching for a TY754VB box, so hopefully when i get one, be back on the road within a month , fingers crossed.

Mine has the TY752 And I'm going to start upping the power soon,I might start looking for a new box now lol
Mine is the RA box and love the close ratio so not sure what I would go for if I was in your situation

Did you have any luck with a new box mate?... I've just done exactly the same thing at oulton park yesterday. Got the same 752 box although it's ment to be the stronger one in the RB5. Only had it rebuilt last week aswell lol. Can't bring myself to buy a 6 speed with me only running 335bhp surely there's something that'll do the job?

Have a look at The Rig's other gearbox threads mate. There is a 3rd gear upgrade quiet expensive tho and there is a gearbox bracing mod over in the US and I was told they Scooby bits are working on the same mod.

I had a ty52 type r low ratio at 402 bhp lots of launches drove it hard ,couple sprints sold it as a decent box luck of the draw.

Totally agree.. My mates is running 385 with same box and no issues. Really is just luck.
