Default Diff bearing slack?

Hi, after some advice please ;-) I've been under the car looking at the front diff and driveshafts and have found a large amount of slack in the shafts where they leave the diff. Left/right, up/down and especially in/out. What are my options here, is it likely my diff ouput bearings are knackered, or more involved. I've had slack in the drivetrain for some time, is this the likely culprit? Any advice about this appreciated.

The gearboxes are like chocolate, someone been fiddling with it? Had a recent clutch change?

Hmmm, pending diagnosis I might be interested, what are you likely to be looking for price wise?
