Default platted LSD kgm pressure ??????

I have front and rear plated diffs in my my 95 sti ra.
The rear is ATS, The front is unknown

If I test the front and rear kgm resistance putting one wheel on floor and push the torque wrench to move the other axle wheels... How much kgm I need to get?

Maybe 6kgm at the front and 9kgm at the rear? How much its used for tarmac rally? gravel? circuit? I dont know if 9 or 10kgm at the rear its excesive or not for this car or use.

The LSD are like new.
My car have DCCD with new discs.

Its very important for me.
Thanks.

We would normally expect that the rear plated LSD diff is set to over 100lbs/ ft for tarmac work l do not know how that translates as KGm, as we work in ft /lbs; BUT it is quite tight.

If the front is a plated [ it might be helical ] the we would only set it very lightly - less than 20 Ft lbs - as a tight one makes the car very lively with torque steer and becomes difficult to hold the car in a straight line.

The LSD diffs work very hard and even on a gravel car we would still set the rear diff originally at about 80 Ft lbs.

Hope that helps.

I am looking the the costs for your synchro rings, but once the box is in bits it may be that gears and hubs are also damaged and just rings will not be the total solution. We will have, or be able to get easily, the parts you need l recommend that you pull the gearbox out and into pieces before ordering anything. Forks can also be damaged.

Good Luck, David APi

Thanks. David

100lbs/ft are 13kgm or 130Nm!!!! My ATS from stock get 90Nm and now mounted at the car get about 100Nm this is at the rear LSD. At the front I get about 50lb/ft (68Nm)
