It's torque that kills boxes, not power.

Two different boxes on classic stis - TY 752 and Ty754. Ty754 is much stronger than 752 on the earlier cars.

My 754 took 450bhp and 370 ftlb of torque for 18 k miles of enthusiastic driving/ track days with no bother - but then I don't do drag stuff or hard launches
