They built an engine for my group N rally car, closed deck block, STI 7 bottom end, baffled sump and even a kevlar cam belt fitted. all mated to proper STi group N heads and a TD05H turbo. It was built with big tolerances - ran like a dream once everything had warmed up, but rattled like a bag of spanners on start up

Top boys - imho

Very close to where I work - and you wouldn't believe the no. of Scoobys around, obviously due to API visits. One of my mates at work uses them and recommended them to be should I go the way to of the Scoob, so consider this a 2nd hand recommendation

They put a new engine in mine, top job and know what they are talking about. I even got a bacon roll and coffee when I picked it up.

I heard that they are ****e and robbin' b@stards
Poor service
Shoddy rebuilds using knackedered/dodgy parts
Prices are astronomical

OK i haven't used API but with all the good comments i thought it was only right to add balance it up - even if untrue.

Have not used them but API have a great reputation and would not think twice about going to them!

Big fan of APi, as I think many on here know.

I've owned a scooby for 4 years now and in that time have dealt with many companies. APi and, in particular, David has always provided prompt and helpful advice (even if you end up buying elsewhere), great products at good prices and excellent workmanship/delivery.

Above all else it's a company that listens to customers and does their upmost to rectify problems in the rare event things don't go according to plan. The kind of honesty and integrity exhibited by David on SN is rare in the trade IMHO.

Paul, Must-a-been one of our off days Usually our work is much worse than that. We usually make a point of putting dirty footprints all over the carpets and use all up your petrol tearing round the block.

l'll retrain the people responsible immediately, in the hope of matching your expectations.

Thanks very much for bringing it to my attention.
