Default Power Engineering, any good?

Just got myself a MY99 STI6 import and i'm thinking of useing PE to do any upgrades as they are quite close to me.
Anybody had any dealings with them? How would you rate there servise and prices?

I checked there website and thay advertise Power Packs which include backbox filter and remap.
Anyone had this done? Or can you tell me how much they cost.

Thanks for your time.
Mike

Welcome to SN

From my limited experience I found them to be a professional outfit.

Use the search facility to look for other members experiences of PE.

I only been there a couple of times, once for a rolling road day, the other for MOT. I ended up taking mine elsewhere to complete the work required to pass the MOT cos I found it more cost effective than the options given by PE.

I get all my servicing done by a specialist in west London. For tuning work it's worth taking time to find the best guys for the job, wherever they are in the country. If you're thinking of remapping your STi search around on here and find out exactly what product you want, then go to the tuner with the most impressive recommendations based on the experience of the guys on here.

Default ..

PE have been having alot issues lately esecially with there dyno setup, both myself and a few others noticed as they kept slagging us off, one of the guys has spent in excess of £6k with them and they just wasn't intrested, take a trip down do slowboy racing in south east london, approx 15min from clapham common, prices are very good and they are Simtek and Apexi Mapping specialists.. A few of the guys from the middlesex owners club have also started using slowboy racing and are very happy

i have used PE a few times, the company has gone through a mix around teh ROLLING ROAD was taken over by Ian and i think Matt a few months back where the workshop has stayed in the same hands.

Both the guys have been great and given advice and help where thay can, Ian knows his stuff when it comes doen to tech'y questions.

Personaly i have used the garage side for MOT's as it is closer than taking the ar over to SUBARU4YOU who i would highly recommend too, Lenn and Mark are again both very helpful and take the time out to give thier advice.

As for mappin gonly on eguy i would trust ior use and that is BOB RAWLE top guy, knows his stuff and would recommend him all day long, he has put right a two of my cars that i bought which had been mapped by other people poorly the last was bore washing like a mother and wa using the same ammount of fuel on full throttle when i was crusing around at 30mph. He has also did my p1 and transformed the car completely

use who ever you feel you trust
