Question CEL reset

How much would I expect to pay for reading the fault code and resetting the CEL on a MY02 WRX? Dealer or independent?

Alternatively i am getting another batch of OBD (On Board Diagnostic) readers in very soon. The last 8 i ordered went very quickly !!

The are a USB device which plugs into the USB port of a laptop or other PC. With suitabole software you can read ALL of the data coming off of the OBD port of your Subaru. Depending what software you use, some have 0-60 timings, simulated Dyno runs etc etc. More importanantly it allows for the reading and clearing of a CEL on most makes of vehicle built after 2001, not just Subarus.

They are £75 for each device with all required leads etc. So in effect pay for one of these once and that is the same as a main dealer would charge for doing the reset for you and with them you don't get to keep the equipment afterwards for next time!!

For further details please contact me direct.
