Default Prosport-thanks

Big thanks for Prosport for the fitting of my Prodrive springs and the geometry fix. . Having never been before I was well impressed with the set up. Friendly staff, straight talking(no bull), clean workshop, cant fault them. I will be honest and say I used to think the prices were dearer compared to some others, but after using them you definately get what you pay for, and it probably works out cheaper anyway with no unforseen addons. And for me having the confidence of leaving my pride and joy with some one who knows what they are doing means more than a couple of quid. Prosport will be getting all my custom from now on, thanks.

Lee i think that prosport actually charge less per hour than the authorised subaru dealers. The good thing about them is that they dont as you say yourself bull sh*t you about work that you dont need doing.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with Prosport.....I had them reccomended as Apexi specialists and they were local to me so a double bonus.

I had some problems a while back with my car being undrivable while using the Apexi ECU. No matter what the tune on it, I took it in to them with a sheet of paper explaining the problem they took the keys off me no problem sir we will have that sorted.

They give me a call mid afternoon saying
"we can't get your car to start with Apexi ECU"
I said it starts fine but kangaroos furiously if you try and drive anywhere. They said it just won't start.....
I said you have swapped the CAM and CRANK sensor pins over right?
errrrr no do you have to do that?
I thought you said you were knew about Apexi's?
oh yes sir! we have never had to do that before on an Apexi ECU
We have fixed your standard ECU though sir......
There wasn't a problem with the standard ECU I drove to the workshop with it?

Cut a very very long story short they charged me for a days labour, even though they were wrestling with a problem (it wouldn't start) that wasn't even there.

Not a happy bunny, had to take a day off work to sort it and found a dodgy connector on the CAM sensor.......

Fixed now happier than ever but will never use Prosport again.....

Hello CataIunya,

Prosport (Stockport) dont have the software to tune Apexi ECU's, this work is usually referred to Andy C or Andy F. We do Gems, Motec and Ecutek.

We take alot of pride in what we do and take things like this very seriously.

Can you confirm that the "Prosport" you are referring to IS the one based in Stockport?

Many thanks

Regards

Prosport

Hi Clare,

I have responded to your PM with all the details, I am definitely talking about the same prosport. At the time you were definitely taking on Apexi work now whether you were fit to do so or not is another question. I am not about slating companies for no reason as you obviously make a lot of people happy but i was left with a very sour taste in my mouth after dealing with yourselves.

Ive been going to Prosport for several years now with my Impreza's and to my knowledge they have never done APEXI tuning, though they use to do superchip, they do REVO and ECUTEK, but not APEXI.
Im not sure if you mean (if I can think of the name) Jap Innovations? in oldham? as they may have done some APEXI.

lol there is no question I went to Prosport, I don't know what you guys are like but I don't blindly take my car anywhere without getting my details correct ( or the county ). It was a guy called Andy Carr who recommended them to me. Its being "looked into" as we speak.
