Default Cheapest place for a brand new Euro import STi?

As title says, Just wanted to know where the cheapest place would be for a brand new Euro Import Hawkeye STi?

Also anyone bought a brand new Euro import STi, how much saving did you get over a UK spec model!

Thanks!

I am also looking at the same. The cheapest I have found is at Motordepot in Hull at £21,247 plus £249 to get it on the road or a STI spec D for an extra £500. Graham Walker in Chester are doing them for £21,999 on the road with you registered as the first owner, I don't know if this is the case with Motordepot.

then you will have to add the tracker and alarm. I dont think these are included. Got mine from David Hendry Cars - TVR, Subaru, Isuzu & Ssangyong Specialists in Wiltshire

UK Specification Vehicles (Supplied with Euro Certificates of Conformity)
Identical to vehicles supplied by Subaru UK dealers but with a price & availability advantages. The vehicles are imports from inside the EU & are supplied with 3 years manufactures warranty. Unlike some companies our prices are fully on the road including alarm, road tax, mats, number plates, road tax & RAC Trackstar (STI only).

Both Graham Walker and Motordepot come with tracker and cat 1 alarm and immobiliser. The cat 1 alarm that Graham Walker put on is a Toad.

They are the same company, They are both part of the imperial garage group, I have just bought one from allbrandsnew and when I went to pick it up I first went to the showroom at allbrandsnew and someone redirected me to the motordepot showroom for assistance. I paid £21600 for mine OTR including a Cat1 alarm/imobiliser. If you do buy one from these people make sure you check over it with a fine tooth comb. Mine had 2 scratches on the wing which I spotted when I picked it up and also one of the alloys had a slight scuff which had been touched up with gold touch-up paint, sadly I didn't notice this until I first washed it

Scoobyweb I saw on a map that they are next door to each other and websites details of the cars are exactly the same, thought it strange but why different prices. Do these cars include the 1000mile service like it does at Graham Walker.

Ray_li I have spoken to two Subaru dealers and both said there was nothing wrong with Euro imports, they didn't slag them off in anyway, just that saying you own a UK car carries some weight when coming to selling it. They also said they don't come with alarm or tracker but these companies are now putting them in. Both offered any advice/help even if I was to buy a Euro import, warranty work not a problem.

the depreciation on a EU import will be the same as a UK car.
you buy it £5k cheaper so you sell it £5k cheaper. Right?

They said this would be the case but the gap would close over time say 3 to 5 years down the line there wouldn't be much difference. I can't see a downfall to them myself, maybe someone knows more that can help.

going by that comment.

UK MY04 STI Type Uk new was £26k and the value 3 years later is £14k (loose £12k)

so going with the price of a STI Type Uk after 3 years (£14k) if i buy a EU MY07 STI Type Uk for £21k then sold it for £14k after 3 years I loss £7k

to me that mkaes sense to buy EU import.

there was a problem in the early days of servicing but thats not the case now.

Thats how they explained it. No service problems they would do everything.
Doesn't seem to be a choice to be made in my eyes.

It would have to be Black anyway! But that is a very good price, A lot of car for the money. There seems to be quite a few car supermarkets selling these Euro imports Scoobys at very cheap prices!

It looks like the Motorpoint cars don't come with Cat 1 or a tracker. Plus the price doesn't include tax or first reg fee. In the end the car would work out more expensive than the others.

My recent experience would indicate that's not correct. I purchased a new Euro import Sti from Motorpoint in April 06 for around £21.5K. By December, due to a change of work circumstances I found myself doing a high mileage and decided to sell it due to the high running costs. A friend who runs the local Skoda dealership tried to get me the best price possible and came back with £16K. Upset at that level of depreciation I asked how much would it fetch if it was a UK car - the reply was about £1K more.

Correct, the Motorpoint 'windscreen price' doesn't include alarm, tracker, locking wheel nuts, pdi charge, registration fee, tax and you are not the 1st registered keeper. That lot added about £700 on my car.

However, they do have the cars in stock and you can inspect the actual car you are buying before you agree to buy it.

Can't really answer that.

I will give you some information speaking from experience. As I mentioned above, I bought mine from allbrandsnew in december. I paid £21,600 for it, it didn,t have an alarm or tracker or locking wheel nuts. I got the dealer to throw in a Cat1 alarm as part of the deal and got my local dealer to fit the locking wheel nuts at first service. The 2007 cars are slightly cheaper than the 2006 so allbrandsnew have lowered their price to suit (£400). Mine came from Malta and it was undersealed. As far as warranty goes you get the same warranty as a uk car but there is a slight snag, If you need to make a claim then the uk dealer has to get autherisation from the supplying dealer (in my case Malta) before he can carry out repairs. Some dealers will frighten you by saying this can take weeks, but in reality it usually takes no more than a day unless maybe it was engine failure then it may drag out for a while.
I am still waiting for my service book to arrive (3 weeks), Once the dvla send you your V5C you then have to copy it and fax to your supplying dealer and they forward it to their supplier and they release the service book to you.
Allbrandsnew assured me they would register the car with IM so it is put on the warranty system, although I hav'nt checked this yet to make sure.

If anyone needs to know anymore then please feel free to PM me and I will do my best to help.

Chris.

I had a Euro Import WRX a couple of years ago, but I bought it a few months old from a bloke who had bought it from Motorpoint, so i dont know how much he paid and what extras he had to pay to buy the car etc, but when I did have the car, I didnt have the service book with the car, David @ APi said he could get them, but I never got one in the end!

Scoobyweb what did you do about the 1000mile service, was it free (included in the price, if not how much was it)?
