The only Subaru Service Centre i know of in Sheffield bar Montys. Is a place called the Subaru Service Centre Sheffield. They can service UK and Imported WRX and STI Subarus. Had work done there and they know their stuff, they used to work for Bentleys who before Montys were the Subaru dealers in Sheffield. Their on Sidney Street in Sheffield phone number 0114 2798111.

Paul Batty the old monty's subaru service manager has opened APP service, based in the old Clark and partners building on Edmund road just off Bramall Lane, Don't know if you have dealt with him before, but he's a top bloke and will sort you out at a decent price there phone number is 0114 2768013

i had a set of struts and springs fitted at APP a couple of weeks ago this is the company set up by paul and the head mechanic from montys subaru.price was just over £110 inc vat also included geometry setup.first class service and quality i wont be taking my car anywhere else in the future top blokes

Oh I used to be indecisive but now I'm not sure

I have a specific problem with the front of my car. I spoke to SSC today and was impressed by the technical and confident nature of the discussion we had. On the other hand I have had quite a few dealings with Paul Batty when he was at Montys and he has an excellent commitment to customer service and always looked after me and my car well.

Now it depends on who the "Chief Mechanic" at APP is. If it's the guy I think it is then all will be well. Though I have spoken to him about the problem too.

TSL Motorsport think they know what it is but are a bit faraway so i need someone local to check and confirm. So I'm going to take the car to a mate, that runs a quick wrx, and if we can find the problem I will then invite both SSC and APP to quote.
I'll probably end up giving them both a job and see how I get on.

SSC definetely sound goods and i know who I'm dealing with at APP.

Thanks for all your input. For the past two years I thought Montys were my only option locally.

I went to try & see the guys at Subaru Service Centre last week to sort out a couple of small problems with my car & they have shut up shop!! Gone!! Finished!! No-more!!! - AAARHGG!!!

So, today I went & sought out APP. Spoke both to Paul Batty & another chap (didn't get his name - DOH!) & they were both more than helpfull. They sorted one problem immediately & will be sorting the other on Monday.

Looks like I'll be taking my car to APP for the foreseeable future.

sound like Xtreme in essex, ex dealer mechanics and engineers fed up with dealer politics/their franchise shutting up shop, usually a good crowd to deal with ( xtreme in my own experience)

I was under the impression that ssc was moving as the site they were on sydney st is going to be flats. My mate has the bodyshop nxt to them and he mentioned that ssc and them were getting a place together??? Think it was down london rd somewhere?
