Crawford Performance is no good
Hi.
I bought a S2 block from crawford.
Got it tuned by Andy Forrest, and In the begging it worked fine.
But one day I heard a bad noise when I were out driving.
Took out the engine, and the result was 4 pistons with scratched piston skirts. I messauerd the pistons an block with laser, and it showed that the block and psitons had too small clearence.
I talked to crawford about it, they came up with every excuse you can think of, bad oil, bad tuning etc.
But at last we came to a agreement that i should ship the pitons to them(I live in Norway) and they should have a look at them to determ what had happend. If it was their fault they would give me a new block tha said.
I first sent the psitons to my tuner becasue he wanted to see if he had done anything wrong. He looked at them, and came to the same conclution that I did. When he then had sent them to crawford, Quirt decided to not accept the package because he allready knew that they had done nothing wrong.
So they did not pay for the shipping, even though they had said they would do so and i was sent on their account.
While the pistons were on their way, i needed a new block. We came to a agreement, I would ship my dammaged block over to them, they would pay for the shipping, and give me a disscount of 350$ on a new S2.
So i sent it on thei account again, and they sent me a block back(This took many weeks more than they promised it would take). Then they suddenly take contact with me about the shipping on the block. Now Chris said he never promised to pay for the shipping. So they returned the bill to me, and it is mye problem now.
So i don`n know if craword have this bad customer service to everyone, or if it`s just to people outide the US.
I know that you should not listen to chris when you call crawford.
So the result is that i have paid for 2 blocks, got 350 for a core block that costed me 600 $ to send(so i lost 250$).
