Setting up a scooby/jap garage in northampton?
hi iv just joined, been on here a few times but never got round to joining so i took a few minuits to join.
i have a question to scooby owners and genaral jap owners
im thinking of setting up a garage catering for scooby and jap cars just offering maintaince and serviceing and i have diagnostic equipment to read engine fault codes, for the moment but would like to build up in to the tuneing side later on im going to invest into 3 ramps that i hope will cater for very low cars and maybe mots at a later point in time, hourly rates would be very good, and if peiople ask much for aftermarket parts we would start to carry stock of basic aftermarket parts and offer a fitting service, im just trying to test the water to find out if anyone would want a garage like this or not?
any comments would be great thank you
many thanx luke

Great idea, what's the customer base like in that area?
I know I'm struggling in the Banbury area since Fenny Compton closed. It's still empty by the way; it might be a sound bet to reopen it.

The Fenny Compton site had an excellent reputation for customer service and ability. I bought my car from them 7 years ago and had it serviced there untill they shut; I remember having it serviced once, and when i picked it up a headlight was out. They changed it on the spot, free of charge!
They only closed because IM wanted alot of money spent on the viual impact of the place, which the owner said no to. I think if you set-up there alot of people in the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire area would be gratefull, know where the site was, and prepared to return with their custom.
