Another dissapointing Subaru dealer
Drove 30 miles last Saturday to a dealer to get a price to part ex my 2002 UkSti for a new Sti with PPP.
Guy in showroom had a good look over my car and wrote down details of everything. Then told me he couldnt give me a price to change as his boss would be the one to do that and he was having his lunch.
So he said dont worry, I'll get him to call you after his lunch to give you a price. He wouldnt need to see the car as all the details ie condition were already noted.
And guess what! No bloody phone call at all. Do these guys want to sell cars or what? So its off elsewhere now to other dealers to see what they can do for me.If they can be bothered of course.

I've found the local South Wales/South West dealers to not be very helpful/friendly when I've gone along to buy a car... Ended up going to Coventry in the end (just wish they were nearer to get the servicing done with them)

When I was looking for mine I initially approached my local dealership (see location ). I did manage to get a short test drive in a MY00 classic as that was what I was after, I'd never driven one before so I wanted to ensure it was comfortable for someone who is 6ft3.
However the one I tested was white, I wanted one in a different colour. I had made that known from the off. No problem sir they said we'll source one for you. I gave all my details etc. Nothing, not a single phone call, I really wonder how they keep a business going like that. If they had found waht I wanted it would have been a practically garanteed sale

Apathy reigns in the UK - you should see what we have to put up with when spending £100k p.a. with multi-nationals - it would make you cry - I have frequently come close!!! (anger management - helps alleviate desire to do an Arnie on them...)

When I first bought my Impreza, I drove the 2+ hours to a dealership "At the top of the valleys" I believe the locals put it. Always found them very nice guys and were quite happy to let me test an 02 STI - wasn't going to chance my arm and ask for a spin in the 22B they had there.
Pretty sure my cars got stamps from the dealer your on about.
Now though, I go to a specialist in Carmarthen. Not quite as visually polished as an official dealer but I trust them to change to oil properly
Edited - Am i just being slow or are you guys on about the same people I'm praising?! Being West Wales based (and originally from Oxford !!) I'm not too hot on South Wales geography.

When I was after my first Scoob, I decided I wanted a new shape WRX, in silver, about a year old and I wanted to pay no more than about 16k. When the dealer called, he said he had good news - they've found the car I was after - a blue UK300 for £18k (wrong shape, wrong colour and wrong price)...
