Question 10K Service Price

My WRX is in for its first service (10K) next week and the dealer's service department said the cost would be approx 230 quid. This seems a little steep to me for what essentially will be just the oil and filters ?

Does this sound right ?

Does that include the £100 for the useless bodywork service, for a fully galvanised panelled car (apart from the roof) it seems madness.

Had my 10k service done at my local main dealer a few weeks and they charged me £95, but i did supply my own engine oil.

I think the body service is around the £100 mark so if it includes that its about right ,does seem a lot though.

Smile Adjusted Price...

Thanks for all your replies, I got straight back on to them and it seems they quoted me the 20K service price instead.

It is now 160 quid which is better, and does not include the body service which is optional 115 quid extra which I won't bother with.

Thanks again.

The body service is required to keep the body warrantee, it involves re-applying any damaged underseal and injecting waxoyl type stuff into the bonnet, doors, boot and some box sections.
Thing is that the all the panels on the 03sti are galvanised apart from the roof.

The roof isnt covered by the warrantee, nor is any corrosion caused by stone chips/scrathces or rust from box sections that could not be accessed by the dealer applying the waxoyl stuff, hmmm water tight then.
