I have asked this question of two different people at Motorpoint. Also they now give 12 months warranty (option of further 2years £499) (valid at any VAT registered garage) because they have had problems with UK dealers not honouring the pan euro 3yr warranty. Anyone got any comments on this.

I purchased our STI 2005 Xtreme from Litchfield Imports, and its definately standard UK 262bhp version, not the 290bhp (maybe they are getting confused with the JDM version) ancd comes with DCCD.

Litchfield imports provide 3 yr pan euro warranty plus alarm and tracker

http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/subaru/my05.html

Excellent service from Iain and the team, so I would recommend that route

Neil

ps - the STI 2005 is an awesome bit of kit

Thanks for the recommendation, but surely the warranty issue may be valid whoever you buy the car off, with the extra year warranty from motorpoint (I believe you can register the car anyway for the 3Yr Pan euro warranty) this may give extra piece of mind, plus you could then get the warranty work done by xtreme scoobies for example. I've been quoted £22,800 for the 05 STi with DCCD which would include Tracker+subscription/ Cat1 alarm plus the extra 2 year warranty valid at any VAT Reg garage. Not a bad deal, plus they take part exchange (reasonable price given for mine) .

I suggested the guy didnt know what he was on about to which he told me "ive been in the motor industry...."
