Red face

I drove a stupid distance to be fobbed off with ****, and to have the **** taken out of me by one of the sales staff.

Dispite e-mailing to make an ofer and trying and confirm a price, which dispite then replying by saying

thanks for the mail

come up on the day and we will happily sort a discount out for you0
, and being led to believe they where actually going to be doing things was a load of crap. The discount was an insult, and all it proved was they are more intrested in making money so they can stick crapy carbon to all their cars, than trying to satisfy customers.

I could have stayed at home and got nothing rather than adding 350miles onto my car for the hell of it.

ONE REALLY PISSED OF NO LONGER CUSTOMER OF TSL

It was a shame as everyone I spoke to other than the sales guy was really nice

Did you or did you not get a discount as promised in the e-mail?
You really should make that clear before slagging them off.

Did I miss something or was I being thick?

Hi Guys!

It's that time of year again. Time for one of our legendary OPEN DAYS!!!.

Put the date of Saturday December the 6th in your diaries. As normal there will be the normal mix of great cars, unmissable deals, and a bit of pre-Christmas cheer. Hopefully we will be unveiling next years Show and Mag monster to the unwashed masses for the first time!

Our technical team and industry experts will be on hand throughout the day to help with your technical queries and to advise on your next upgrade.

The fun starts at 9.30 and continues until @2.00. Pop in and treat yourself, your car or your better half to something nice for Christmas.

With fantastic discounts on everything and a rare chance to come and haggle you're sure to take home a bargain.

Hope to see you all there

Cheers

Trouser

Where did it say the workshop is closed and we will not be doing any work today? Why would I e-mail about getting Eibach springs fitted and wheel alignment done if all I wanted to do was look round their workshop? I could go and look through the door of my local Quick fit if I wanted to see the inside of a workshop

The discount I was offered on the day was no where near what I discussed in the e-mail. I accept that they did not agree to what I was discussing inthe e-mail, but he also did not say there was no way they would get close to it, I was told to come and haggle.

As for them being open to haggling
I was told
why should I discount our labour rates when I know I can sell our mechanics time to someone else for £45 an hour

Why would I say in my e-mail

as I will be
travelling a fair way to come and see you, and have to be back to work on
Saturday night, so need to know it will REALLY be worth my while?
If I did not expect them to do something to my car?

Well all I can say is 2 tanks of petrol must of cost you about £70, the discount you were expecting was probably £100, TSL would have had to of practically given them away to satisfy you on a set of £200 eibachs.

Eibachs and alignmet (Phase two) £381.88 inc vat from website.

I also wanted the two front ARB bushes replacing with Powerflex.(these £24.00Ish for the two.)

WITH DISCOUNT THEY WERE WILLING TO DO IT FOR £395INC VAT

I asked if they would do it for £350 and was told they could not do it, as they would be lossing money?

The eibachs to buy are £170 inc vat. The powerflex £24.00. So parts at retail are only £194 The rest of the charge is labour!!!!! This is the area where they can afford to do a discout is it not? This is a one off day, they do not have to repeat these prices all the time? BUT THEYT ARE TOO ****ING MONEY OBSESSED TO EVEN TRY AND DO A DEAL

That is all I have to say on the matter.

Mods feel free to delete these posts if you wish. I don't give a....

Do you think I am being unfair?

Yup TSL are buggers if you want to haggle, they must lose a lot of trade as they are not willing to "deal" I understand they are very very well respected and after having a firestorm fit there I can see why ( To55er seems a bit harsh, as these guys are always willing to help )

but to be fair I have phoned them up willing to buy spoilers, TEK re maps etc and always found my self being push to another firm

When I am buying a few items of kit that total up in price I will not buy it unless I see the garage trying to get my business and I am sorry TSL good Lads they are, they have lost a lot of my busines because of there "wrote in stone" price stratagy

edited to say: Nexuas, have you tryed powerstation in Cheltenham good people and always seem keen to give you a good deal, these guys are renound on scooby net as being one of the best at sorting out the handleing of our scoobs

Rich

Hmmm.
Sorry to hear that you wern't impressed by TSL.
I can honestly say that i've only had one issue with the guys down there when i ordered wheels.

But...Paul still knocked off a good few quid as an apology.
Just what you'd expect from a decent company.

Sorry but this sounds like a totally different TSL than the one that I deal with.

From TSL Website.

If you have seen a line you want to buy, cheaper elsewhere, please send us a link to that website and we promise to match any genuine advertised price for identical in-stock products from any UK based site.

Today's Subaru after market is fast moving and very competitive. Whilst we will always major on quality of service and customer support, we always try to bring you the best possible deal.
I have held Paul to this and they have always come up trumps.

Calling someone a tosser because of a misunderstaning on what was happening today is OTT IMHO.

Nathan..

Must say I wasnt too impressed either, I went armed with a grand hoping to get myself a full exhaust system including their new thundercat downpipe, center and group N or firestorm back box. After checking out the quality of construction I was very dissapointed and kept my money in my pocket. I dont have anything bad to say about the fellows though - all I spoke to were nice and friendly, just the product that let them down.

Maybe my expectations are too high, I dunno - but all the stainless exhausts Ive had on other cars have been FAR better.

Im hoping the Power Engineering stuff is better cuz they are about the only other ppl I know that do sports cats for new age cars.

One thing I forgot to do was to ask who makes the rear spoiler that was on the bugeye with the black carbon bonnet - it was PERFECT (IMHO) If anyone knows the exact model can they let me know cuz I would like one VERY much.

I have calmed down a bit now, and will edit down some of the post. But I am still not happy, will be trying powerstation on Monday.

I agree that the quality of their exhaust products did look a little poor.

Cheers for that Daz, another one to look at now before I take the plunge.

Anyone know how much these retail for ? The PE one is £1040 for the full system - is the Milltek any cheaper ?

There doesnt seem to be much info for these on the litchfield or powerstation sites.
