Very happy with my Wilsons service, as much coffee as you want or courtesy car, or both.
Mine went in for a 45K on Sat morning, we spent a very nice morning around Romford and collected the car at 1:00, service was great and would definitely use again. In fact the whole thing was probably less hassle than usual, I didn't even get a door dink which normally comes as standard.
They also managed to squeeze in an alarm upgrade on the day as well.
I might look at Haddocks in the future when they have more experience and when they have more than one mechanic.

Nothing wrong with fishy names
Haddocks are doing my 36 month service in a couple of weeks, at least one of the techs transferred from Osbournes, and at the end of the day, it's an engine and it's under warranty.
Will be putting a note on the dash asking them to let it warm through if they're going to take it for a test run though, followed one of their guys out of the garage the other day in (I assume) a customers car and he wasn't hanging about.

is this 1 mechanic from osbournes gonna run around the workshop to have a look at everyone who is working on a scoob and advise, or are the mechanics gonna ask him for advise ,,, i think not,, i think this is gonna be a learning process, trail and error type thing,, good luck,, i,ll stick to making the jaunt down to chelmsford for now

good move, good coffe and loan car and some of the old colchester sales staff, that left before lind took it on. So they know what they are on about and service was excellent as well.

Had 10k service done at days price was 20 quid cheaper than haddocks and osbornes before they closed. service was on an even par with osbornes, but coffe was better.Techs seemed to know there stuff, only one tech at osbornes now at haddocks, but feel the tech at days had more knowledge. Service manager at osbornes better than at days.
Sales staff were the ones at osbornes, before lind took over (wonder where they had gone Andrew and Peter)so was good to see them and catch up with them.
So overall Osbornes and Days no difference, but haddocks done 1,000 mile service was very poor service ie no car, 2 hour while you wait, no coffee and not even a good morning and lack of info on the sales side
Hope that helps as well

Pro Boy,
Do you know who is the current Service Manager at Days ?
I found that my early services were OK there, but as things got a little more technical like brake fluid, they started to struggle. Body service was a joke.
I bought my car new from them and would love to return, I'll keep an eye on the reports back.
Cheers

Believe the service manger is called Lee and took over from Malcolm Barrell about 8 or 9 months ago so just getting to know the subaru, but saying that at least he comes out the office and explains thing, malcolm was a phone man only.
Techs seem well up on subaru and while having a cup of coffee in the sales showroom i saw all the certificates on the wall, never saw that at osbournes. So they get the training, and the one that serviced my car brought the keys back and was really up on the car.
And like i said sales staff know there stuff, no wonder when i asked at osbournes they said they didnt know wrer they had gone.
hope that helps

The certificates at Osbornes were all on the wall behind the service desk downstairs behind Chris. As to the sales staff not saying where Peter and Andy had gone...well...would you

Service desk was upstairs last time i used them
Tim well yes i see what you mean, but when you find that out doesnt help said a good word.
But like i said service is even.
Sales staff well not sure who you are and were you sat in the showroom, but only the one at the back of the showroom had the knowledge, as did Andrew, Andy and Peter(Sor
ry if youre not that one, but thats fact)
So where did Andy go seems they all went together Tim

Sounds like you have not been there for a while! Service moved downstairs well over a year ago. Andrew Richards went to Days then Peter Warren went about a month or two later. Andy Mathis left Subaru, came back, went again, then left osbornes some time ago. Anyway, it's all old news now. I left 2 weeks ago and now work for another dealership, life goes on!!!
Now, where do I take my Impreza for service........?!?!?!?!?

Osbournes were alright, but I always thought the service bloke Barry was lying, don't know why, just seemed it. Chris was nice enough though. Has three scoobies from Osbournes and I don't recall the salesmens names, but the first two were great, letting a 22y/o test pilot a turbo and then letting me loose by myself in an STi7 18months later. The one who sold me the STi8 was a useless miserable git, andy soemthing iirc, and if I was coming in to buy one for the first time I would have been put off.
I guess I'll see what Days are like, not too fussed, but I'd rather not use a brand new dealer especially if they've only got one decent subaru tech.
