Quality of service at dealers?
#1
Please leave this in General for a while as the other forums move really slowly!
Does anyone feel that some dealers charge too much for their labour when servicing your car? Do you feel you get any extra benefit for this extra cost? - (other than the pockets of your trousers lasting longer). I have just called two dealers and there is a £55 difference between their service costs, all down to labour. I have always used the more expensive one until now, but feel they are taking the pi$$ now. Any comments welcome.

it depends on location overheads and numerous other things. but we have had a fair bit in due to our labout rates being a bit lower than some £50 + vat i know of some up north that have hit the £100 ph mark.

And how much the dealer thinks you can be fleeced for
if jd power did another survey and everyone criticesed the servicing costs something would be done, but you will always get the "" i think we are undercharged for the service we get" brigade chipping in which brgers it up for the rest of us
what you ought to do is charge the dealer for delivering and collecting the car!!!
that,ll make em think
