Just tried to book my car in today to have the brakes done....doah!!!

Spoke to Bob who says they were issued with redundancy papers yesterday evening.

I believe its down to the dealer not wanting to comply with the latest "corporate image" requirements from Subaru UK. All the network were issued with termination notices earlier this year, which gave a deadline of 1st October [to co incide with Block exemption] to comply, those that have are ok, those not wishing to do so and spend further bucket loads, are having to release the franchise.
I dont know why they have not told their employee's all this as it is widely known facts, as my local dealer has told everyone that has asked about it.

Dunno why the mechanics dont set up on their own and become a specialist garage. They make a killin in the Northwest cos there aint mainy Scooby dealers about anymore! Come on lads, get together and open up a Scooby Hospital!

I think Sonic has every right to be gutted about the money he is owed.

That doesn't mean he isn't also sorry for anyone losing their jobs

If they owed me money I'd feel the same

I agree, i just thought he could have put something more positive down, As we already know about the problems he has had. personaly I have never had any problems with them it's a shame its closing. It was one of the better scooby dealers arround.

I have sung Mainlands Praises on many an occasion, off the board as well

And in another thread I did actually say that I was sorry to hear that it was closing etc

Its not nice for anyone to lose their job, and we all have families to feed

I am owed money, I felt severly let down by the major service & suspension fitting, and all I got was a sorry, dont know how it happened

But I do hope that all the guys & gals get jobs quick
