I ordered a wideband lambda sensor from the Parts Bin in the US (closest, cheapest source). To cut a long story short after an eight week wait, because of their error they have billed me three times, and are sending three of them, charging me three times for the product and carriage. I have repeatedly explained to them by phone and email that I only want one, but they have gone ahead and done it anyway, and suggest that I refuse delivery of the unwanted ones. However, it is unreasonable to expect my (Doctors receptionist) staff to check and accept one and refuse the other two!

What remedies do I have? I was thinking that I would ask the credit card company to recover the costs for 2 out of the 3 products, where do I stand with recovering the costs of me returning the 2 unwanted products to the US?

The value of the order will be about £360 for all three and I only wanted one!

They bill separately for the shipping, so I could reclaim shipping costs for the third product as my charge for returning the unwanted products to them and explain this to them in an email. Does this seem reasonable?

What can they do to me if it is not ?

John,

The CC company will sort out credtiting for the extra two, then you can give the supplier the choice of crediting your CC the cost of shipping, prior to you shipping the goods back, or request that they arrange to collect the goods at their cost.

It's not your problem.

Mark.

Umm - I can get them much cheaper than that next time you need them (but it sounds like you won't for a *little* while!)...delivery of 3 days too

Sorry David, missed this.

I got it from my local Honda dealership - have you tried a UK one?

I've been through similar. DO contact your credit card company as R19KET suggests.
