Air Filter

Water Injection or Front Mount I/C

Link

Very Much agree with Gavin. But in this order.
First a little more power.
Filter
Full straight through Stainless Exhaust system.
About £500 if you look in the right places:-)
£50 on Brake Support Bracket
£180 on Large Inlet Pipe.
Then Brakes. Worth spending £800- 1000 on brakes (Willwood) or £1500 if you got it on Brembo/AP
Personally I would then go for an IHI Turbo at about £1000.
And then go to BR to get the link when the other mods are fitted.
That should sort your £3,500

Remember that the TYPE R gear ratios are very short. If the road use you are intending to do includes motorway work, the type r may have gearing to short. The R equals approx 19MPH per 1000 RPM.The standard uk model approx 25 MPH per 1000 RPM.The four door STI equals about 22 MPH per 1000 RPM (in fifth).I purchased a type RA (same ratios as the R) and found the gearing to be too short for everyday use.The R and RA have a rally set of ratios giving s##t hot acceleration, but impossible cruising ability.Remember that the uk spec vehicles fourth is longer than the Rs fifth. The gearing of the four door STI has an intermediate set of ratios, probably the best compromise of the two.(The p1 2 door has the STI four door box as standard with no adj diff).I converted my RA to run the full uk ratios.Remember that all 22B uks had there gearing altered by prodrive because they were seen as to short for the uk.If you require further information mail me.
